FIELDWORK

For the field research of the research project, five data collection instruments were built:

Q1) Institutional and sectorial cataloging/mapping
Q2) Management's perceptions of university pedagogical advisory
Q3) Perceptions of University Pedagogical Advisory
Q4) Narratives about the university pedagogical advisory service - participating professors
Q5) Narratives about the university pedagogical advisory service - non-participating professors
The instruments were applied in the partner institutions of the research project, so that the collected data were analyzed in the light of categories defined a priori:

A) Conception of advisory:

  • How do you conceive the advisory work?
  • What practices do they entail?
  • How do they structure them?
  • What beliefs are present?

B) Advisor profile:

  • Who are they?
  • How did they get there?
  • What kind of training do you have for this?

C) Institutional teaching training policy:

  • What history does it reflect?
  • What culture does it reflect?

D) Legitimacy of the advisory practice:

  • What motivates participation?
  • What demobilizes participation?
  • What appreciation does it have?
  • What recognition does it have?

The results of the research related to the fieldwork that evidenced the experiences of pedagogical advisory in the partner institutions are compiled in the International Pedagogical Advisory Dossier: experiences in an international context. Dossier
